Mt. Daguldol is located in San Juan Batangas that stands at 672 MASL. A popular destination from the hiking community and new mountaineers. Mt. Daguldol offers a seascape and a combo trip – Beach and mountain.
How to go there?
Ride a bus bound to Lipa and alight in Lipa Terminal. There is a terminal available there bound to San Juan. It is one hour trip from the terminal. Just ask the driver to drop you to the jeepney terminal bound to Brgy. Hugom. Secure your guide and register at Baranggay Hugom.
Mt. Daguldol
Since we left Manila late lunch, we arrived at the registration area late as well. It was almost 8 in the evening.
We started the trek in the long stretch of beach sand of Mt. Daguldol and reached the jump-off after around 40 minutes, we set up our tent, had dinner and did a few sharing with my friends.

We also jive with the hikers who will be summiting the next day with us – Meet Edwin, William, Mel and Chiero.
We woke up at 4am the next day and break the camp.
The trail of Mt. Daguldol is almost similar with most of the southern tagalog mountains.
The usual halo-halo stores along the trail, eatery etcetera is also in Mt. Daguldol. I was surprised to see a church along the trail of this mountain!
Foggy Trail of Mt. Daguldol
After around 3 hours, we have reached the summit.

The Sleepy Head
It became not advisable for me to take this mountain during summer anymore because of the baldness of the summit. Though the trail has its shades, the humid can make you dry.
There were kids selling buko as the profit goes to their school fees.
We descended at around 10am on the same trail but heading to Naambon Falls.
Naambon Falls
Take Five at the foot of Naambon Falls
The falls is not as grand as any other falls I’ve seen in the past. Probably because it was summer at that time. That makes the flow of the water so thin and almost dry.
We headed back to the jump-off after taking a rest at Naambon Falls. The scorching heat of the sun scared us to attempt to walk at beach sand to go back to Brgy. Hugom.
Our View from the campsite
Note: You can hire a private jeepney that can take you back to Lipa Terminal for P1800 (if you want to skip the walk at the beach)
We find the fees for the private jeepney unreasonable. We decided to wait for few more hours at the campsite waiting for the lesser strike of the sun.
It was a good decision that we took the beach sand to go back because we were able to take a photo of the seascape of Laiya.
When we reached the barangay, we were informed that the jeepney going in and out is only available until 12 noon. Since we arrived late and pass 12 noon, we will not be able to reach the Lipa Terminal unless we will hire a private jeepney that costs P1800. The group didn’t agree, we will instead take the longer route than to pay that amount! (kuripot ang peg! Haha) The group decided to get a tricycle back to the terminal where we can get jeepneys bound to San Juan, take the jeepney bound to the Bus Terminal.
